Reviewing BSI Standards for Climate Resilience

Strengthening the Resilience of BSI Standards to Climate Change

Country: UK

Activities
BSI recognises that some of its standards offer the opportunity to ensure that climate resilience is adopted into best practice. It also recognises that some current standards encourage Certified organisations to take actions which would increase their vulnerability to the impacts of climate change. Climate Sense is supporting BSI to identify those elements of its standards and to revise them, to strengthen climate resilient action by those meeting the standard.

Climate Sense Tools
The organisational development metrics and development pathways used to revise the standards are drawn from Climate Sense’s CaDD metrics

Outcomes
BSI certified organisations will take actions which are more climate resilient.
